Love & Protect Spray/Body Oil
Create this loving, protective spray to spritz around yourself or your home, or alternatively make into a face & body oil. It's very simple to make but is beautiful and imbued with a little bit of magic.
3-6 drops Frankincense essential oil
3-6 drops Rose essential oil
50ml distilled water (for the spray) or
50ml carrier oil of your choice (for the face/body oil)
Pour your distilled water into a small glass spray bottle or your oil into a glass bottle that you can pour from (blue or amber glass works well to protect your mixture from sunlight). Add the Frankincense and Rose oils, use the above as a guide but you can adjust to suit your own tastes; depending on whether you like a strong scent or something more subtle. Top Tip: add a couple of drops of one oil, and then a couple of drops of the other at a time, smell testing before adding any more. In other words: don't add all the essential oils at once, layer and sniff as you go. You can also scale up if you'd like a bigger spray or oil, just double the quantities. As with any essential oil, if you've not used it before or have particularly reactive or sensitive skin, do a small patch test with some diluted oil on your skin 1-2 days before using it.
Usually, I will have a small ceremony to infuse the mixture with Reiki and you can do similar, even if you are not attuned to Reiki. Find a nice peaceful spot when you are not rushed, light a candle or two and holding the mixture in your hands, just zone into a calm, meditative state and direct your loving energy and intentions through your arms and hands and into the spray. Feed it warmth and unconditional love, a good tip is to conjure this feeling by thinking of someone (a person or animal) that you love unconditionally and just sit with that feeling, letting it amplify. This doesn't need to be an elaborate ritual, just a few minutes simply sitting with this energy is enough.
Leave your bottle to sit for a few days to infuse and then shaking very gently, use it whenever you want, as an aura spray or around your home or as a lovely face & body oil, to get those loving protective vibes.
Rose = mood-lifting, heart-opening, loving, calming, comforting & anti-inflammatory.
Frankincense = connection to the spiritual realm, good for meditation & spiritual practices, uplifting, also has a toning effect on the skin.

Oaty Face Mask for Rosacea/Redness
This DIY face mask is great for calming Rosacea and redness in the skin. You may balk at the thought of putting Apple Cider Vinegar anywhere near your skin, especially if it is sensitive - I would suggest that if you've never used it on your skin before or you are in any way worried, then dip some cotton wool in a solution of ACV diluted with water and test on a small patch of skin first to see how your skin reacts. In the case of any adverse skin reactions then you can make the mask minus the ACV or try the Loving Rose Face Mask instead.
1.5 tablespoons Oatmeal (if you don't have ready made oatmeal then you can blast some oats in a blender until they have a fine, flour-like consistency)
1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar (raw with The Mother is preferable)
1 teaspoon Natural/Probiotic yoghurt
1 teaspoon Honey
Mix the ingredients together in a bowl, the consistency should be fairly thick so that it adheres to the skin nicely and doesn't drip, you can adjust the consistency if required with some more oatmeal to thicken or yoghurt to loosen it. Spread onto the face avoiding the eye area and leave for around 15-20 minutes until it has started to dry and then wash off gently with a damp cloth/warm water. Finish with a mild moisturiser/jojoba oil or similar.
Honestly, this can be a bit messy and you'll most certainly need to clean your sink afterwards but it's worth it for the soft, clean and calm skin you'll be left with.

Loving Rose Face Mask
This is an adaptation of the Oaty Face Mask, swapping out the ACV for Rose Petal Powder. This is a lovely, caring and comforting mask for your skin and again can be used for redness, Rosacea-prone or stressed-out skin, or just as a weekly treat to show your skin some TLC.
1 teaspoon Oatmeal
1 teaspoon Rose Petal Powder (100% pure & natural)
2 teaspoons Natural/Probiotic yoghurt
1 teaspoon Honey
Mix the ingredients together in a bowl and then spread onto the face avoiding the eye area and leave for around 15-20 minutes until it has started to dry and then wash off gently with a damp cloth/warm water. Finish with a mild moisturiser/jojoba oil or similar.
This mask will leave you with a lovely, soft and calm complexion and as a bonus, you can bask in it's delicate rose scent whilst you lie back and let it work it's magic.

Blue Lotus & Chamomile Bedtime Latte
Easy to make, this creamy bedtime latte will have you drifting off into a deep and pleasant slumber.
1 cupful of milk (dairy or plant milk of your choice)
1-2 teaspoons of dried or fresh Chamomile flowers
1-2 teaspoons of dried Blue Lotus flowers
Honey/Agave to taste (optional)
Dried Rose petals for decorating (optional)
Add the milk, Chamomile and Blue Lotus flowers to a small pan on the hob and heat gently for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture to remove the flowers, add honey or agave to taste and use a hand-held frother at this point if you like it foamy! Decorate the top with Rose petals and enjoy an hour or so before bed. Sweet dreams :)
